We Love Traveling Throughout Chester
As frequent visitors to Chester, we’re glad that residents are consistently welcoming to those coming to experience the beauty of the town and its surrounding areas. If you’re new to the area, here are some things we think set the town apart:
As a tourist destination, Chester has a ton to offer, from proximity to Lake Almanor and the fishing, boating and bird-watching that can be enjoyed there, to Lassen Volcanic National Park, home to imposing and beautiful volcanic peaks, glimmering lake water, and flower-flecked meadows.
For visitors who are passionate about learning about volcanoes, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better place to visit than Lassen — there are four different types of volcanoes in the world, and all are found inside the National Park. Some of the spots you can visit don’t exactly sound like the proverbial walk in the park — for example, Devils Kitchen, Bumpass Hell and Boiling Springs Lake — but they offer remarkable insight into the hydrothermal features around volcanoes.
As chimney professionals, heat is, naturally, a pretty strong interest of ours, even if we’re more attuned to combustion heat than hydrothermal. But maybe one of the greatest things about Lassen Volcanic National Park is that even as we get into the warm days of June or even July, you can still find snow and winter activities in the Park that call for a night curled up by the fireplaces we care for. A visit to Lassen Volcanic National Park is always a recommendation we’ll offer when anyone we know is heading toward Chester.
We Can Properly Care For Your Historic Chimney System
One thing we really love about serving the Chester area is the historical buildings that still stand. We love getting the opportunity to care for the chimney systems in those historic buildings — our CSIA-certified technicians have been extensively trained to properly care for historic masonry, from using the right materials and tools to proper processes. The materials used to repair a modern fireplace or chimney are very different — using the wrong materials to repair a damaged historic masonry structure can result in more damage than you started out with. We’re proud that our clients can trust us to give the right care to their historic homes — and we’re just as proud to add new, energy-efficient hearth appliances to newer homes.
