White Glove Chimney – Keeping Your Home Warm, Secure and Healthy
You can expect happy things when we come to your home to service or repair your chimney or fireplace system because we are there to provide you with a warm, secure and healthy living environment. Taking care of you, your property and potentially you and your family’s lives is what we do every day and we take it very seriously. We also guarantee the lowest price for the same level of service. You will always get quality and professional care that you can count on at White Glove Chimney. You can rest assured that our technicians are trained and nationally certified. We have a full training program and facility and you are welcome to come by and check it out. All of our chimney and dryer vent technicians learn their job at the training facility and not your home. Unfortunately, most sweeps learn “on the job”, which means in your home. Our sweeps will already be trained and experienced when they enter yours.
What You Can Expect From Your White Glove Chimney Appointment
- On Time Services – Technicians call ahead so you will know our arrival time. You will never “wonder where we are”.
- No Mess Guarantee – That’s right! We Guarantee No Mess! We’ll never touch your floor. We wear surgical booties and lay out clean drop clothes from the entryway to the work area. We also use HEPA filter vacuums- specially designed for soot & dust control.
We serve the Central Northern California region and travel throughout Shasta, Tehama, Butte, Glenn, Siskiyou and Trinity Counties. It’s a wide region and many places are in rural areas but we believe making sure we can service as many in our area is extremely important. A fire here can be devastating to a homeowner but can also potentially devastate an entire area. We know it’s important to reach as many in our region as possible to prevent such a thing from happening.
What We Will Check At Your Home
We will check the overall chimney condition: We won’t clean it if it doesn’t need it. However, it’s our opinion that it’s poor service if we clean the flue but don’t check it for safety conditions. Therefore we will do the following as it pertains to the type of appliance you have:
For Metal Chimneys
If you have a metal chimney and we haven’t checked it in the attic previously, we will check it provided it is accessible. We have found charred wood, shredded paper rodent nests, etc. next to chimneys. It is poor service and potentially dangerous if we just run a brush up and down and do not check the chimney condition for other known safety issues.
For Masonry Chimneys
If you have a masonry chimney, we will scan it with a specialized camera for cracks or missing mortar as well as assess the general condition. This will be done whether we’ve done it before or not. The condition of the system may change from year to year for many different reasons.
Other Important Factors We Check
- We check your home air pressure. We have found that this has an effect on how your system burns as well as the quality of air you breathe.
- We will perform a free air flow and temperature test of your dryer vent. These can catch fire just like chimneys. Gas dryers produce carbon monoxide which may back into the home if the vent is constricted.
- If you have a Swamp Cooler, we will take a look at it while the ladder is out.
We will never do anything extra without asking you first and getting your approval. There are no surprise charges when you work with White Glove. You will receive a complete written Performance Evaluation of your systems. All of these inspections are included in the basic service call price which is applied to any work we do. Please note that this is not in addition to any work done such as cleaning the flue. White Glove Chimney is ready to help you get the most out of your hearth system, dryer and air vents. We’re the chimney company that’s Keeping Your Home Warm, Secure & Healthy now and in the future.
