Another common hazard is creosote, which is the condensation left behind by tars and gases exiting the chimney when a fire is burning in the fireplace. It is a highly-flammable substance and can ignite at a temperature as low as two hundred degrees F, producing heat up to two thousand degrees F. This heat can cause wood framing around the chimney to ignite, despite the masonry between. Because creosote is produced when wood is not completely burned, creosote buildup can be an indication of an efficiency problem. For this reason, fire safety officials recommend having your chimney regularly inspected for productivity and cleaned of any creosote buildup. What We Do
With each visit to your home, we clean the entire chimney system and inspect for damage and proper installation. We also provide a written report, detailing our findings and recommendations for a safer, more productive system. Regardless of whether a home is tenant-occupied or not, it is our policy that all chimney-related problems are only discussed with the homeowner or their trustee. This policy does not take into account whether the tenant OR the homeowner is paying for the chimney services. If no one is home at the time of inspection, a report will be mailed to ensure that the homeowner is up-to-speed on our findings.
In addition to our extensive knowledge of chimneys, White Glove also thoroughly understands and services all brands and styles of wood stoves, regardless of installation type. Each service includes the removal of wood burning-inserts, and a thorough cleaning and inspection of the stove system. We also install clean-out doors, stainless flue liners and seals around the stove door.

Wall furnaces typically need to be cleaned every few years. When you have your wall furnace serviced, a White Glove professional will disassemble, clean and inspect for damages or flaws.
